Double rainbow

Hello everyone! I was in my shop early this morning and noticed the beautiful fractions of light sprinkling my wall and floor in the front store area. The sunshine was hitting the beautiful sunlight catchers, creating this wonderful spectacle. Blue, green, red, yellow, purple, orange... What a sight to see...You might already know by the title of this post, I am talking about rainbows. Such a delight to see and then they disappear, in what feels like a blink of the eye, making it worth the time to cherish them, when they have the opportunity to appear.

I love when the rain comes down at the right time of day and the Sun shines in the right direction, creating these colorful spectacles. Kind of makes me think about how grateful I am able to enjoy that moment. I look around me and see people around me, going about their daily business, paying no nevermind of the miracle above them. It makes me realize that we do not take enough time for wonderment around us, anymore. We are get so caught up in our daily tasks and deadlines, that we miss it. This world is filled many forms of miracles everyday, but not every rainstorm produces a rainbow.

When I was kid, the neighborhood kids and I, would gather together, to hunt for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We would get our gear together and start to set out on our great adventure. Sadly to find that we had to stop right at the edge of the Do not cross line, near the power plant. The rainbow then disappeared, ending the quest, until the next perfectly lined up rainstorm. Every Time it rained, we would look for the pot of gold, but only if there was a rainbow, to lead the way. We forget what childlike wonder is as we get older and the adulting ways make us hard and rigid. I have learned through meditation and art, that you need to keep the imagination alive. We are curious creatures and without imagination, we would be a gray, dull bunch of lifeless creatures aimlessly roaming the streets, like the Bureaucrats on the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Boring! (if you haven't seen this movie and you like stupid funny movies, you should see this one.)

I hope, this post will give you a chance to take a moment and look for the "rainbows during the rainstorm." Take in the moment of wonderment and awe. For it only lasts in a blink of an eye. Keep your imagination alive.

Bright Blessings, Sarah Petrin

Here is another image to help you expand your mind. Enjoy the swirls as they take you out of your boring everyday "adulting" life and bring you into your creative self, Where could you go? What would you write? How would you create this image's effect on your feelings?

Leave me a comment on what your creative outlets are. Would love to see what other people do, when they use their imagination.

(SpongeBob voice implied 😉)
